Ergodic Control of Semilinear Stochastic Equations and Hamilton-jacobi Equations
In this paper we consider optimal control of stochastic semilinear equations with linearly increasing drift and cylindrical noise. We show existence and uniqueness (up to an additive constant) of solutions to the stationary Hamilton-Jacobi equation associated with the cost functional given by the asymptotic average per unit time cost. As a consequence we nd the optimizing controls given in the ...
متن کاملOptimal Control of Stochastic Integrals and Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman Equations, II
We consider the solution of a stochastic integral control problem, and we study its regularity. In particular, we characterize the optimal cost as the maximum solution of /v V, A(v)u <=f(v) in ’(), u 0 on 0, u where A(v) is a uniformly elliptic second order operator and V is the set of the values of the control.
متن کاملStochastic Perron's method for Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equations
We show that the value function of a stochastic control problem is the unique solution of the associated Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman (HJB) equation, completely avoiding the proof of the so-called dynamic programming principle (DPP). Using Stochastic Perron's method we construct a super-solution lying below the value function and a sub-solution dominating it. A comparison argument easily closes the ...
متن کاملA Stochastic Galerkin Method for Hamilton-Jacobi Equations with Uncertainty
We develop a class of stochastic numerical schemes for Hamilton-Jacobi equations with random inputs in initial data and/or the Hamiltonians. Since the gradient of the HamiltonJacobi equations gives a symmetric hyperbolic system, we utilize the generalized polynomial chaos (gPC) expansion with stochastic Galerkin procedure in random space and the JinXin relaxation approximation in physical space...
متن کاملRegularization by Noise for Stochastic Hamilton-jacobi Equations
We study regularizing effects of nonlinear stochastic perturbations for fully nonlinear PDE. More precisely, path-by-path L bounds for the second derivative of solutions to such PDE are shown. These bounds are expressed as solutions to reflected SDE and are shown to be optimal.
